What Makes SwimShark Different
- Child-First Coaching
- A Smarter Class Experience
- A More Convenient Family Journey
Children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and excited to try again. SwimShark’s coaching style focuses on building comfort first, then developing stronger water confidence, technique, and independence.
Instead of rushing swimmers through drills, lessons are shaped around each child’s age, ability, personality, and confidence level. This helps children enjoy learning, stay engaged, and build progress in a way that feels natural and lasting.
The way a swim class is structured can make a real difference to how well a child learns. SwimShark’s programmes are designed around progressive levels, clear age guides, water safety skills, and fun learning activities that make each class feel purposeful.
From songs and colourful toys in AquaTots to stroke refinement and performance swimming in Level 3, every stage has its own goal, rhythm, and learning focus.
Swimming lessons should fit into real family life. With condo-based lessons, families can enjoy structured swimming close to home, often within their own community.
Children get to learn alongside nearby friends, parents avoid unnecessary travel, and swimming becomes an easier, happier part of the weekly routine.

At SwimShark, there is a swimming lesson for every learner. The programme supports babies, toddlers, preschoolers, independent swimmers, stroke development learners, advanced swimmers, teens, adults, and families looking for private coaching.
Babies & Toddlers
Adult-Assisted | 6 Months to 3 Years Old
A joyful first splash for babies, toddlers, and parents. AquaTots introduces young children to the water through songs, games, colourful toys, gentle movement, and happy bonding moments.
Parents or caregivers are fully involved in the lesson, helping little swimmers build early water confidence in a safe and supportive way. AquaTots is designed to help babies and toddlers enjoy an early head start in their swimming journey.
Preschoolers
Non-Adult Assisted | 3 to 5 Years Old
WaterStarters is for young swimmers who are becoming more confident in the water and ready to take their first step towards independent swimming.
This class helps children build confidence, practise basic swimming and safety skills, and begin learning correct swimming techniques in a small, playful, and engaging group environment.
Independent Swimming
4 to 6 Years Old
Level 1 is for children who are confident in the water, can follow instructions, and are ready to build stronger foundations.
Swimmers work on breath control, water safety, gliding, floating, kicking, and early freestyle and breaststroke skills. This level also introduces side breathing and helps children increase the distance they can swim with better control.
Stroke Development
5 to 8 Years Old
Level 2 is where children begin sharpening their swimming technique across the four strokes: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly.
This programme is suitable for swimmers with basic knowledge of all four strokes. Children work on breathing, body position, stroke efficiency, stamina, racing skills, starts, turns, and swimming longer distances with greater confidence.
Stroke Correction & Performance
7 to 12 Years Old
Level 3 is for swimmers who are ready to take swimming more seriously. This class focuses on stroke correction, endurance, strength, flexibility, speed, and performance swimming.
Swimmers should be confident swimming more than 100m and comfortable swimming each stroke for 50m. The programme helps children refine all competitive strokes and improve their ability to swim faster, longer, and with less effort.
Learn, Improve, or Swim for Fitness
For 13 Years Old +
It is never too late to feel good in the water. SwimShark offers adult swimming lessons for learners aged 13 and above, from complete beginners to advanced swimmers.
Adult classes include Adult Learn to Swim, Adult Stroke Development, and Adult Swim for Fitness. Lessons are designed for adults who want to overcome water fear, return to swimming, improve technique, build stamina, or use swimming as a low-stress way to stay fit.

Built by a Coach. Loved by Little Swimmers.
SwimShark began with a simple idea: children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and excited to come back.
Founded by British swimming coach Mathew Oratis, SwimShark was created to help children progress from beginner confidence to stronger swimming skills through fun, structured, condo-based lessons. The school supports swimmers from babies and toddlers to older children, helping them progress from basic water confidence to advanced strokes and swimming techniques.
Today, SwimShark continues to focus on what matters most: helping swimmers gain confidence, understand water safety, develop proper technique, and enjoy a happy relationship with the pool.
From Water Worries to Weekly Excitement
Children who once felt nervous in the water can begin to enjoy lessons, build trust with their coaches, and make steady progress through playful, patient guidance.
Professional, Fun, and Age-Appropriate
SwimShark’s coaching style supports children at different ability levels, helping them feel challenged without feeling overwhelmed.
A Fun and Vibrant Class Every Time
With colourful toys, lively activities, and plenty of encouragement, lessons feel bright, engaging, and enjoyable for young swimmers.
